The Department recognizes its
biggest asset is its members, their varied experience and great sense of
dedication that comes with them. For any one wishing to become a new member you
must be of sound body and character, posses a strong desire and have the time to
serve your community. Be at least 18 years of age, live in the Southold Fire
District 1 year just prior to joining. Junior Fire Department members must be
of the ages 13 to 18
